Celebrations in 2019

Posted by Charles Etchells on 15 February 2018

On the 5th January 1919, the Long Eaton Allotment and Gardenholders Association was formed by a group of 5 like minded people talking at a meeting sitting around a market stall in Long Eaton. This was the formation of what we know today as the Long Eaton & District Horticultural Society.

The Committee want to ensure that we commemorate and celebrate this milestone throughout 2019. Accordingly, members are invited to give consideration now and come up with suggestions and ideas that give the Committee adequate time to consider and implement these ideas throughout the anniversary year. Your thoughts should be given either in writing or verbally to any Committee member.
